Ja, die catalytic converter werk nie met lood petrol. As ek reg onthou, is die voertuie wat lead repalcement makeer die ene met cast iron cylinder heads; die lood help om die valves en die valve seat te lubricate. En voertuie van Van Riebeeck se tyd; die lood help om pre-ignition/detonation te verhoed.
