Re: Lubrication Points On 4.8 When Servicing

Interesting. On mine there are most definitely nipples in all the U-joints. I don't think it's possible to feed a U-joint grease from the shaft either. At least not without significantly weakening it. Did somebody perhaps remove the grease nipples and fit a plug instead? Although I can't think of a ...

Re: Lubrication Points On 4.8 When Servicing

Same as on the GU. Three on each prop shaft (one inside each U-joint and one on the spline/slip joint.

There may or may not be nipples on the four tie rod ends.

Re: 4.8 GRX Sunroof Switch

I guess the issue is probably the same as we have with the window winder switches, and a bit of cleaning and re-greasing will probably solve the issue. The plastic gets brittle though and it's hard to open the switches without breaking them. I believe Ant heats them up with a hair drier beforehand. ...

Re: High-clearance Hybrid Radius Arms

In summary, the advantages of this system over the Australian hybrid radius arm setup will be: Improved flex. Improved turning circle. Over a setup consisting of Nissan arms and dropboxes both the above advantages are realized as well as: Even more flex. Improved robustness. There are however two di...

Re: High-clearance Hybrid Radius Arms

A forum member recently actually had an arm break, and while I believe this was an isolated incident, it did get me thinking. I think the current hybrid arms leave something on the table. If we replace the dropboxes with a custom cross-member we can make the radius arms even longer and also bring th...

High-clearance Hybrid Radius Arms

In the last few years a higher proportion of guys have been running larger tires. There are a number of clearance issues when running tires of 35" and larger. Ideally the axle needs to be moved a bit further forward to clear the rear edges of the front arches. This is normally done by placing s...

Well done Alex!
And well done to the two Jeeps. Towing a vehicle up that kind of terrain is a big ask!

Re: window washer reservoir

Perhaps try Dawid Volschenk.
If he can't help, one can probably be machined from Vescoflex or cast in Polyurethane.

Or even 3-D printed from a flexible material.

If Dawid can't help, let me know and I will dig it out and at least draw it up and we can take it from there.
