Is there truth is the rumour that Nissan SA has discontinued the sale of Patrol in SA?

After all the years with the Patrol doing 2 - 3000 km per year, I decided to check the ATF in the gearbox, but how? Apparently you need to buy a dipstick to stick in where?
Any advice?

Is it normal for the cruise control of the 4.8 Auto to disengage when the selector is moved to the manual position, in other words, I cannot use the cruise control when driving in manual mode?

This tyre was on my spare on the Patrol and is like brand new. I replaced all my tyres including the spare with 265/70 R17.

But I would do Terrain Tamer. They are fantastic pads. I use them on my 4.5, and they are also what I used on my 4.8 before my ex wrote that off.

Not yet, the Patrol is mainly the wife's car and is actually seldomly used. I would probably wait till I want to go somewhere and then hastily do something.

I do not use the Patrol often off road. About two years ago I did a Namib trip and found that on pulling hard a strange cluck sound comes from the front drive train from time to time.
