My 4.5 also idle quite high. When starting up in cold weather it goes up to about 1300-1400. I think normal conditions also close to about 1000. or just under, will have to double check. Thanks for the reply Ian. It tends to be pretty irregular when/where it idles. When i drove the vehicle down from GP to kzn, i stopped to top fuel up once or twice to fill the tanks, and it idles around 1000rpm, which surely shouldnt be happening as i had been driving for 4-5 hours on average.
