I am back!

Post by Fred79 »

Hello Almal!

After selling my Red Patrol in 2010 and driving a Hilux for the last three years I am now back on a Patrol again. He is still stok standard and he needs some TLC but I am just happy to own a patrol again. :blonde:

Previous owners had dogs so the car smell like a kennel. I have stripped the interior and gave everything a good clean, al plastic trimming were cleaned with hot water and Detol. Carpets and seats were washed and left out the car for two weeks. I started to put everything back together last Saturday and just need to do the doors then I am all done. While all the door trim is off I want to replace the speakers and radio.

I will put some pictures on this weekend

Happy New year and groete uit 'n koue nat Engeland.

Hey, welcome back. Spent 4 yrs 22 days & 9hrs in England. Miss it some days. For a few seconds.

Remember once in Herefordshire, arriving at a big fancy manor house on the English country side to deliver exqusite french polished oak furniture:

Me (with a nice adopted Lancashire accent): "Good day ma'am, I have your furniture delivery in my truck."

Client: "Oh, so your company employ foreigners now, do they?"

Me (with a dik Saffa accent): "Yes ma'am, if you want quality you need to import it, just like your furniture!"

Marnus, this is a good example of the subtle English prejudice. AKA "racism".
Most prevalent in the upper class.

Soos belowe. Hier is soo paar foto's van my patrol. Het die naweek die CB radio in gesit en is darem nou klaar met die skoon maak van die kar. Het ook sommer my battery cables gele.

PS, kan nie lekker onthou hoe om foto's op te laai nie, hoop maar dit werk.
