Hey Guys,seems i will be going the hammerite way on my existing steel rims for now.I had the two spare wheel rims sandblasted, then i spayed them with hammerite black about one can per rim and i must say they dont look too bad.Tks to the guys for sharing this method.Will post some pics.

i know the rims in the before pic dont look too bad but there was some bad rust on the inside of the rim particularly on the lip inside.

Hi Tinus, I had the sandblasting done by Viking sandblasting in sbdc. I think the cost was about R150 per rim.
Alex the Hammerstein spray tins are about R100 a tin and two tins per rim.
