I'm Dave. I love the Highlife!
I live in the mountains near Bishop, California. Just north of Mt.Whitney 14,505 feet (4,421 m), the highest summit in the contiguous United States, and east of Yosemite National Park.
I have wife and two vizslas, I've was heavy into climbing since 1984 and skiing backcountry stuff since moving here in 1998. Still active but spread a bit thin nowdays with my "real job" carpentry work (www.bosquewoodworks.com) and lately some one of a kind furnishings and glassware are taking off....mostly upcycled materials...some call it steampunk...I say Romantically Industrial.
....And, the Patrols....a '62 Patrol L60 softy, '65 Patrol KL60, and a '67 KL60.

Those are some neat looking trucks you have.
Beautiful mountains you have in the background.
I guess you must be some trails to drive there too?

David, I would'nt mind laying my hands on one of those Patrols, but a Tinus said, they are hard to find in this part of the world.

David, when did they stop selling the Patrols in the US? Looks like you guys have all the nice oldies and we only have the newer ones...
At least you have the Xterra, Titan & Armada (yeah, I am a bit jealous!) to help make up for the lack of hardcore Nissan 4x4

Re: Bosque in the Eastern Sierra...California
Thanks for all the attention on the oldies.
I was surprised to learn there are not many in SA or have maybe weathered away? Just happens we imported Patrol L60 (G60) swb's from 62-69. I am from the southwest US and cars are in good shape rust wise.
Those mountains are just a small glimpse of what is nearby......and then for hour in most directions too desert basins and jagged mountains.
I post more later but this is the remaining rock base of an Indian hut type dwelling. That flat rock in the foreground was their grinding stone.

Welcome Bosque
I have seen many pictures taken in Yosemite, it is indeed a beautiful area. I do hope you enjoy driving those old ladies in that beautiful area for many years to come!
