I do not want high km's out of tires. Long life means long life with no grip. I only sell Maxxis. Softer compound but muck more grip. Refuse to have any BF product on any 4x4.
764 have a 3 ply sidewall and 762 bighorn 2 ply side. Buckshot is non agressive mud and trepadors are quite nice. All my 4x4s are offroad vehicles and only use them to travel to a place to go play. Triton has 265 75 16 764, patrol same size 762 and Safari has 33 new kevlar mtr's

Cedric, Bridgestone do a muddy, Kobus (Herrie) and Marnus (Marakasmalan) have them on their trollies.

By the way, what mileage did you get out of those Kumhos?

Peter, with all the 4x4 driving that those tyres have done, I am actually quite impressed. I am sure I wore out a few mm at Atlantice Dunes, and many trips to Mozambique through the sand. The rocky trails we have done also eat tyres. Considering I work 7Km from home, I have +/- 55 000km on them, and they will still go for a few more Km. They have to.... new ones are expensive... :rolling:

One thing about tyres and tyre choice, everyone has a choice and what is good for one person is not necessarily good for the next. I would like to try the Bridgestone MT's on the Iron Maiden..... why??..... Well how can I give a valid comment if I've never tried them. I dig the Kumho MT's cause I've only ever had Kumho MT's.

I've also used various AT's. I've used Bridstone Duellers, Firestone ATX, Good Year Wrangler, but all on different vehicles.... so again one tyre will work differently on different cars.
Regards
Cedric

Yes, I woke up in a cold sweat the other night, dreaming I was in the tire shop putting new tires on the Trol.

I respect the opinion that long-lasting tires don't grip, but I just can't afford tires that don't last. I am expecting to get about 100k km out of my vellies, so I could only fit KL71's if they were less than say 60% the cost of BF's, and the same goes for any other tire. I have yet to get into a situation on the road where my BF's didn't have all the grip I needed, although I have had such situations on other vehicles fitted with BF's. But on my trollie, they have enough grip.
