Pieter, can't see why they wouldn't replace your dash as they replaced mine without hassles.

Service history shouldn't play a role as a dash doesn't get serviced. I think they are trying their luck.

This is purely a product recall on a range of dashes where the glue separated. None of the older GU Patrols had this problem.

If your car is in the VIN range (and it should be) they will replace it free of charge if it is less than six years old. Go to another dealer if you don't get joy from your current one.

Did you query this with Nissan Head Office : InfoDesk@nissan.co.za

Just bought a 2006 4.8GRX , took it to Nissan to try my luck with the bubbling dash and seems like it wont cost me a cent, new dash has arrived but am waiting for the claim to be finalised before taking the pat in.

Hi gents
I collected the patrol from Nissan yesterday and must tell you that I'm very happy with the new dash they fitted , it makes the world of difference not having that rash on the dash. I dealt with a lady by the name of Marietta at nash Nissan,Alberton, as well as Jana at Nissan sa . All in all it cost me a grand including some small repairs elsewhere. Nissan covered all other costs.
PM me if anyone needs contact details , I had no hassles at all and received great service.
Regards
Trevor

Just to add to what Chopper has said regarding the service from Nash Nissan.
These are the guys that i dealt with when purchasing all of the seal's for my trunnion & wheel bearing job.

Always friendly and when quoting over the phone, were always very eager to fax me a schematic of the parts just to make sure. They also made sure the parts were there in record time and were very quick to call and make sure everything went smoothly!

So ja, i can also vouch for the guys here in the South

Hope my jumping in here is OK Chopper?
Regards
Adrian
