Daai prys is reg, ek het in Mei maand een laat opsit by Hein. Die swingarm vir spaarwiel was so net oor R4000 extra exl VAT. Beste prys wat ek kon kry en ek is baie happy met hom!

Dankie Johnathan, ek hoop om erens later in die jaar dalk vir myne ook 'n staal buffer op te laat sit met 'n swing arm.

Any idea of the weight of these things without the carrier?

Guys.. just a heads up: I have ordered a bumper for the Suzuki Jimny from Burnco not too long ago....

The design is beautiful.. but there was some serious lack in quality. Most of the welds were porous and the finishing wasn't great either.

The weight is acceptable (for the Jimny it was around 23kg) I suspect the Patrol will be somewhere between 30 and 40 kg for the front and a little less at the back. The fittings are rugged and the jacking and recovery points are well placed. Also has great ground clearance. As I said. Beautiful design, if only for the workmanship.
May the road be long.. and dirty.

Sad to say, but I agree. My father in law had one fitted by a reputable 4x4 shop. After scrutinizing the work he found it was skew, misaligned ext. He thought it was the 4x4 shop. But in the end it was the holes drilled by the manufacturer. He disassembled it and spend 2 weeks getting the hole centers aligned with each other and with the car. Ok. He took his time. But still.
Needless to say it is now properly sqaured away.

Yip! I have also had to spend a weekend tweaking a bumper that came fitted from the supplier very squiff...

2 jacks a spirit level & 2 turnbuckles later she was sorted.
