Looking for SWB Y61

Post by PathMaker »

Hi fellow forum members!
:salute: :salute: :salute:
Hubby nearly "poeped" himself :rolling: when I said I was looking at buying a old Toyota Land cruiser as a scuba diver's runaround between Moz, south coast and here. PS. Still cleaning the carpets!
So this is why I am putting out the feelers for a Nissan Patrol SWB, preferably Y61. :helpsign:
Please, if anyone hears or knows of a affordable, low mileage SWB available or thinking so selling, please let me know.
Thanks a mil.
Vanessa

Hi V.. ya, i can imagine his reaction on that one
There are very few Y61 SWB in SA, I know of two. The one belongs to Tabbies [Deon Louw] and he is on the forum. He moved to teh dark side and also own a Landrammel now..
Without risking the carpets again .. Oompie suggest you also have a look at the TERRANO II .. They come in SWB and LWB and can go where Patrol go most times .. specially on the beach..

I would give my I-teeth for a SWB GU
I've got a good mate who's over in the UK for a few more years. He's offered to bring a SWB 2.8 (RD28) back for me... I've started saving

Maybe you should look at getting one from one of our neighbours (Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho, Swaziland, etc.)
You'll just have to be careful and do all the checks to make sure there's no red tape that will hang you up.
Best speak to guys like Springbok Importers and see what it entails. They are the experts.
