Hi Guys
so after my Patrol went back to Nissan and they sent the car to Rex Gearbox and Diff . I waited 4 week to get it back and they have fix it my diff lock is working , they say they replace the switching valve under the bonnet. I am nit sure how this solved the problem as I switch the pipes around and the diff-lock still did not work ..
Never the less they have fix it and I am happy ..
I am not to sure what this valve costs but it may be worth changing it to see if the make any difference. They told me the value was faulty and it did not give enough suction to the actuator on the diff there for not enough pressure to push the gear into place.
Hope this helps ..

Re: Diff-lock Trouble
Thanks for the feedback, it is definitely worth a look. I still have not had time to check mine out, but this weekend seems pretty free.
By "switching valve" I'm assuming they mean the vacuum solenoid in the engine compartment? Anyone able to confirm?

Hallo Rhett,
The "switching valve" can only be the vacuum solenoid.... which would be situated at the left hand / top of the firewall. I have one spare unit which I could give you for "fault finding purposes".
