Cedric's making me blush
More info on the parts:
The thermistor is a AD104 negative temperature coefficient (NTC) item that has a resistance of 2k Ohm at 25 deg. They cost a monstrous R3.58 each when I fitted my roof console. You also need a few 47 ohm (1/4 or 1/2 watt) resistors for sensor calibration purposes - expect to pay R1 for a handful.
You'll also need about 3m of CAT5 cabling (network LAN cable) if you convert to LED bulbs, or else 3x 3m runs of twin flex (this handles more current if you want to retain the "old-school" map and reading bulbs).
I went for LEDs and used Lumeno stuff, but you can also find similar parts at
http://www.4x4direct.co.za. The two map lights are
T085B11-08 (or TO885811-08) or equivalent. The other interior lights are Lumeno
1031B03-01 or equivalent.
