Re: Patrol Spotting
I regularly see (what I've always thought to be) an old green land cruiser driving around here in the suburb where I stay - complete with PTO winch nogal... I seem to see it most mornings when it comes past the intersection where I need to turn into the main road... I always thought it was a cruiser, until this morning when I drove behind it for the first time and noticed the Datsun logo on the back...
Great astonishment to realise it is a G61 Patrol... I was very surprised. It's the first one I've seen in "lewendige lywe".
Stopped and had a chat with the owner, but didn't have time to check much. It looks very, very good. Engine is not standard - a V8 - but not sure of type. Bit of rust in one or two spots, but otherwise, bloody good looking for a 45+ year-old vehicle. Didn't have time to get a photograph (I was on the school run), but the owner promised to let me take a few photos when I see him again.
Hoping I get a chance to chat a little longer with him and get some of the vehicle specs and some pics. I shall post them here when I do, otherwise it never happened...

Re: Patrol Spotting
Spotted a white GU wagon reading "Big Bertha" across the windscreen today on my way into Brits. Not sure if it is a forum member, but I got a hoot and a wave.
