Fuel pump, where to buy?

Post by DaleB »

Evening Gents, I'm looking for a good quality high flow low pressure fuel pump. Went looking at the Autozones etc today but they only have the "cheap" stuff. Looking for a pump that runs about 120lph and about 0.7 to 1 bar pressure. Can find online at Amazon and the likes but before I import, anyone know where I can find locally in Pretoria?

I want to fit it as a supply to the VP44 injector pump on the ZD30. Part of trying to make my Patrol a wee bit more reliable.

Thanks,
Dale

Go the the SCRAPYARD ... find a 320 Diesel BMW [123 serie "Dolphin"] shape older models ..
Buy it's FUEL pump [R300 is fair price]
It is situated under the front passenger seat .. [looks a bit like the coil of olds .. [nit suspension coil .. that electric thingy that feeds the spark to the distributor   ]

I have one in LOBO and it really produces reliably [LOBO is mos fuel injection. ]
OH .. the beauty of thi pump .. it is EXTERNAL and is happy with just gravity feed

I bought a few pumps on BoB which works 100% on the Safari's. Here's the links, I bought the first one. You'll need to search the site for a 1 bar pump but I'm sure there is.
