Towbar and recoveryhook

Post by raka »

I was wandering ,again, after looking at this picture and comparing it to my own setup...

http://patrol4x4.co.za/download/file.php?id=18026
Why do 'fitters' not replace your recovery point with the towbar that they fitted to the 'recovery' hook ,when they fit this type of tow bar ?
We all agree that you should not recover via the towbar itself, right ? So why not refit the hook, with the towbar, even if that means using slightly longer bolts ?

Your thoughts :mytwocents:

Maar my setup is heeltemal anders. My staal bumper is bo oor daai recovery punt gebou en al my gewig gaan nie hang/stoot/trek op net daai 4x boute nie, maar aan my hele 4mm staal bumper met 12mm bumper mounts.

So dink nie ek sal daai probleem he nie, maar sal in elk geval hom mooi dophou
