Ok, so I managed to get the price down right to the bone.
The engineering shop says it can be done at R4000 per air box but that's ONLY if they are done in batches of a minimum quantity of 5 units per order.
I've got a few guys who are interested, so if anyone is keen just PM me to say if you want one and only once I have 5 confirmed will the order be placed and we can sort the finances out.

Agreed! it looks great.

Would the fabricator consider making these in Mild-Steel??

Stainless is great, but I don't see why a painted or powder coated mild steel version wouldn't be fine for the job too.

Stainless is probably cheaper in real terms on something like this. R2-300 difference in material cost will not make up for the cost of powder coating or painting if you include transport and decent preperation.

I think R4k is probably a very good price for this, looking at the standard of the workmanship. Just wish I could afford one now.

Peter is right on the money with that one.
The engineering shop told me straight there's no way he could get that close with Mild Steel powdercoated.
The stainless steel option is actually the cheaper option funny enough.

Negotiated price to R3800 per unit regardless of volumes.
They just won't polish it up to mirror finish so they can cut down on time.
Anyone interested can PM me :salute:
