Jerry can are a bit of a bugger, but the best way to use them is to fit them on the side of the fuel filler. Instead of taking them of, use a shakier tube to get the diesel out of the jerry can and into the tank. All you will need to do is not fill them to the brim.

Hello Dirk: Eerstens -- daar is Brandstof by Ghatsjikau [Katsjikau.. kyk maar spelling op watter map-set jy het] So jy hoef nie vas te byt tot in Kasane nie [ek neem aam jy gaan deur Moremi ?]
Ek het al op baie van my uitreike brondstof BINNE die voertuig moes vervoer. Dan gebruik ek die 25 Liter plastiek kanne van Pioneer [geles vir diesel] dan maak ek 24 liter daar in, Dan plaas ek DIK tipe plastiek oor die nek voor ek die prop vas draai [die klein "breather" proppie pla nie maar jy kan n banksakkie met rekkies om hom vassit as jy bang is vir spilling. Banksakkie het ek ook al vir die groot prop gebruik as ek nie ander het nie
Nie een keer maar male sonder tal het ek al so ge reis [en nee, dis nie heelpad teerpad nie ... inteendeel ... ]

Tx oom Mac, maar ek gaan die adissionele sub tenk fit so geen meer jerry kanne, as 150L diesel nie genoeg is nie dan is die plek wragtag te ver :surprised: .

Ek het maar 128L tussen my main en sub tank en dit skuif darem op na 168L toe as ek twee jerry kanne saam vat op lang trips.

Moet se ek het my hele Namibia trip met trailer gedoen sonder om my jerry kanne te gebruik

Warning for the guys with the aftermarket 60/65 L tanks.

No idea if they all came from the same place or store chain but the quality and fitment of the piping on mine is not good and we do not want our Patrols to do "a Kuga".

Have done a temporary fix for the dune trip and will be redoing everything after.
