Nissan time is over, Toyota required!
Hello!
I hope, knowbody will kick me, but my Patrol-time in Africa is over.
The engine overhowling last year costed 35000 Rand and the engine was working for 5000km. Now knocking sounds from the engine, a valve is not closing. I plan my tours along the garages...no, that has to end.
I'm now in Swakopmund and somebody offered me to buy the car for a small amount, the other possibility is to give the car to the namibian government for nothing. I need the correct stamps in my papers!!! At the moment I'm waiting for a call fron Windhoek from the guy, who ist interested in that "classic car". A transport of our things from Swakop or Windhoek back to Bethlehem should be the payment....
But now my question: My wife and me decided to buy a toyota. We prefer a Landcruiser (hdj80 in good condition would be fine, or a long hzj, manual gearbox, diesel) but maybe a Hilux with 3.0L Diesel engine.
If somebody knows such a car, please write (stober@afripix.de).
Greetings from Swakop
Frank and Claudia

Re: Nissan time is over, Toyota required!
OK, the first one was not interested. Maybe the import is the problem. It is a german car and I need an import certificate.
Car: Y60 from 1991
Engine: RD28
Milage: 220000
Good springs, tires, nealy new shocks from ironman, Bonnet some dents, rest ok, but some scratches.
Condition<. hm...mixed. Engine nearly dead. Or maybe a minor problem, but I have enough of it. Don't want to open the engine again.
Price: Transport to Betlehem (2 pax, fridge, oz-tent, roofbox,....)
