Re: Hire a Patrol for Namibia
I managed to get a landcruiser double cab for my Swedish friend.
Now need to get him used to offroad conditions prior to the trip - anyone know where we can go in the Gauteng area where there is good possibility of sand driving?

Re: Hire a Patrol for Namibia
Club McCarthy's Rhino Park has a sandpit. This is about the loosest sand I have found in Gauteng, but it's only about 150m in diameter...
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Thinking of that, there are one or two dune-like opportunities in the dunes at Chimes.

The off-road bike guys are complaining about the Zama-zama's, that "mine" in the area, are becoming a problem at the mine dumps in Benoni.

Re: Hire a Patrol for Namibia
Thanks for the inputs guys - will look into them..
Was also thinking of finding someone to go through some offroad techniques and recovery with my Swede friend - anyone keen to do a little instruction one weekend?
He would pay for the service I am sure... we could even make it a bigger group if needed.
