Will the 6th and 7th seats from the GRX be mountable in a GL if purchased seperately?

My '98 GL had the seats and they fitted Ian's '99 GRX so unless something changed it is no problem.

So I got the Patrol yesterday. Dit is vet pret.

Very big thank you to Cedric (ricster) for taking time to come to my house and checking if the diff lock and all other obvious things are working as they should.

I had to remove a few things from the roof rack last night to make it fit in the garage, but even that had me wearing a smile.

I have chosen a name for the Patrol. Olivia it is. Cedric inspired me with his story of Iron Maiden, and with a keen love for good music myself, this song inspired the name. Have a look/listen:

There are few negatives, as could be expected though.

I have two warning/indicator lights coming on.

The first is the SUB TANK amber light (situated in the warning light section below the fuel gauges) staying on. The owners manual says I should have ot checked out by Nissan. I remains on even after filling up. I will have a look for earlier threads about this on the forum, but might need to have Graham look into it.

The other seems to be a figure indicating the airbag flashing red, in the centre warning light section in the top middle between the speedo and rev counter. I don't see anything about this in the manual, but will also check on the forum for previous threads.

Hi Dirk,

I had both those problems at some stage over the past 6 years.
The first should be simple. Does the sub tank pump work? It should work, but only if there is some fuel in the sub tank and the main tank is below 3 quarters.
If it is not working, then the two issues are most likely related. Disconnect the car batteries for at least 5 minutes to ensure the car shuts down. Reconnect. Then the problem may go away. Else, it is a contact issue which Graham can sort.

The second problem is a pain in the back side. In theory it means that the safety check for one of your airbags returns negative.
My first step here would be to take it to Nissan en find out if your model is one that needs to be returned and checked for airbags malfunctioning. There is a recall on at the moment.
Look here: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=3612&p=79966&hilit=recall#p79966

If that does not sort it out:
In my case I could not resolve it, other than to eventually have the light bulb behind the dash taken out.
I know that is "cheating", but I was at my wits' end. The flashing air bag light drove me nuts.
Do not be fooled by someone that plugs his electronic diagnositcs sensor into your car.
If all they do is to "reset" the car, the light will go away for a few days or weeks, only to return. Very annoying.
