1998 GR 2.8 litre diesel (UK spec)
Hi all,
I have owned my Patrol for over a year now, and I love the beast! I do have a few issues starting to pop up as the car gets older and racks up more mileage (270,000 km to date). Just want to find out if any of you have the same make Patrol to get the convo going?
Cheers in advance!

Re: 1998 GR 2.8 litre diesel (UK spec)
The 2.8 was not marketed in SA. So not common. A few would be around due to "grey" imports.
Besides engine and gear ratios, much of rest I think should be similar.

I know Reenan has quite a few RD28's.
Drop him a PM and see what he says.

Many thanks Michael. A few cosmetic alterations that I put down to character building! Its a 6 cyl. She is tired and in need o a bit of tuning, problem is I am a 15 hour drive from the nearest city with a decent enough mechanic who would be able to spend a bit of time on it.Michael wrote:Nice patrol you have there Matthew!!

I assume the chassis etc are very similar. Been a mission getting spares up to now, as it is a UK import. Hoping that I can find someone in SA who would be able to find the basics when the need arises.Alex Roux wrote:The 2.8 was not marketed in SA. So not common. Hi Matthew
We import parts from Terrain Tamer in Australia. They have parts available for the RD28T/I. Please let me know if you are looking for something. I can import it with one of our shipments. This will be to South Africa. Shipment to Zambia can be sorted.
I can also get parts from Euro4X4Parts. You can have a look at their site as well.
Thanks
Marinus
