Re: Gearbox oil - Which would you choose right now?
As long as you dont want the Nissan "spesial" oil. They dont have enough stock in all of SA to do my 60k service.
I am telling you, if I did not think as much of my Patrol as I do. I would have traded it for something else and never buy a nissan again. Ever!!! They are the worst after service company ever. And if I didnt like my Patrols brothers as much as I do. I would have written a letter to SA 4x4 and the like and put nissan to shame. Bluddy useless. It scares the living daylights out of me to thing that they must now do oil changes on gearbox and diff. As well as disassemble my front hubs and repack the wheel bearings. Why??? Because their machanics is also mostly useless when it comes to Patrols. Aaaaiiijaajaaiii.......

No man - Name and shame and go crazy. It will drop the value of the second hand ones and then we will each be able to afford about 5...JoshJ wrote:As long as you dont want the Nissan "spesial" oil. They dont have enough stock in all of SA to do my 60k service.

Re: Gearbox oil - Which would you choose right now?
My 4.2d recipe (aka the happy oil family)
From the left, engine oil, diff oil(both), gearbox oil, lastly, transfer case oil.
Apparently this is an acceptable brew for my patrol

I really struggled. Ended up buying from 3 different places, and DEXIII only in 0.5L quantities. The liquimoly was expensive tooSJC wrote:The two on the left I got in my arsenal (or had).
