The Rebuild 1991 Nissan Patrol
Betsie, yes that's her name, is a young at heart 1991 Nissan Patrol, with 375 000km on the odo and I met her about three years ago when I assisted a friend with her purchase. When she came onto the market, and assisting the said friend again, I had eventually no choice but to buy her....I even tried to flog her a couple of times...shame on me.
White in color with rust. I honestly did not want to spend the money on bodywork as the idea was to cut the rear end off and build a UTE, anyway, Bets had other ideas!!
Now, GQ Patrols are definitely not known for there excellent head lights, and on one misty morning some kamakazi cows decided it was a good time to try and be brave. Anyway, one cow got hit on the bum and this is how the whole rebuild started.....cause famous words, (how bad can the rust be??)
I will post more pics of the saga.

Re: The Rebuild 1991 Nissan Patrol
Hi
First I had to sort out my life by creating a special album for the rebuild photos, now I know where to find them all in one place.
Unfortunately seems I have lost my cow accident photo, but the damage was limited to the driver side fender and grill. Obvious I still wanted to have her insured, anyway, the fun started as I cannot drive with a broken Bets.
When the fender was finished (rather a lot more straight than before I started), I spotted a small rust spot on the driver side door, so that got fixed, then a small rust spot on the passenger side rear door, that got fixed....and THEN the following happened.
"How much rust can there be?"
