It sounds like your indicator switch is working, if the light does not continue to flash on your dashboard, but burns solid.
Then it is most likely that the actuator switch is also working, given that the "ratchet sound" is quiet when you disengage the locker.
The "ratchet sound" is bad news, I am pretty confident the teath inside are broken.

For a second hand part, call Dawid at oh, eight, 3, four99, 15 double-eight.

But then go to a strongly recommended specialist for the installation.
This is not a job that just any mackie can do.

Also, once fixed, get into the habit of activating the locker once a week. It keeps all working parts in moving / working order.

Thanks for the support guys.

The diff is making the ratched noise in both forward and reverse. The metal pieces that broke of seems to be the size of the fork on the actuator.

I am going to strip the strip in two weeks time.

Then I'll know for sure. I'll also post some pictures.

Hi Everyone,

My difflock is now working again. :blonde:

I had to buy a centre portion from David. Wilkie helped me swop around the internals.

I will place some pictures of the failing sliding gear etc a bit later.
