Ok so I am looking to make some High lift jack points on my newly built rear bumper, but just want some opinions on how they should look.

I don't want the round ones as you need another heavy adapter that needs to be in the tool box at all times but rather the "T" hole in the bumper or just a squire hole as in the ARB bumpers. The squire hole seems very easy to make, but not sure if it needs to be re-enforced on a 3mm steel bumper?

Opinions please.

If I remember correctly there was re-inforcing around the high lift jack points on that TJM bulbar that I had on. And that was probably about 4mm steel :surprised:

Maar ek praat onder korreksie

Just a few close-ups of the hi-lift jack points on my front bumper.

The points seem to be simply the oblong hole cut in the bumper. The reinforcement consists of similar looking steel plates inside and outside and bolted together. All is 3mm steel. There is no additional reinforcement.

Excuse the "dirty" bumper - I see it has killed a few million innocent insects since it has last been washed...

Sorry - I posted, but then I realised I should probably give dimensions as well.

These are the dimensions I measured. The maximum and minimum widths are measured just before the "bends" start at the corners.

Once again, please acknowledge my awesome photoshop skills.... :rolling: :rolling: :rolling:
