I think Christo ( Chuck ) made a 20 or 30mm square tube frame that then fits between the door body and the tyre mounting bracket. I think this will give a better anchoring and distribute the load better too. I have a 6mm spacer on the bracket of mine and it becomes a little tricky to keep the spare wheel balanced on there till I get a bolt in it. The spacer does work better than nothing though.
