Michael,

That looks so incredibly epicly legit...

My bumper of the same design is currently still lying in bits in my garage. I'm hoping to have some time this weekend to start putting it all together...

Dankie Christo, eks bly dit was n sukses en nog meer bly dat dit verby is.

Thanks Ian, one thing that you might not be aware of is that this bumper design sits very snug around the quarter section....I actually had to hammer it in on certain places and grind small amounts off to get the bumper to fit.

Michael,

I have one question regarding the recovery point you mounted in the centre. How is that mounted ? Is that on the "factory hard point" (for want of a better word) that the original recovery loop is fitted to ?

Thanks.

Ian, yes its where the factory recovery point mounts. Because of the new bumper disign there was a 75mm gap between the bumper and where the recovery point should mount.

I made a box of 6mm steel that fits inbetween the bumper an the recovery point mount on the chassis. I then bought new 120mm HT bolts that goes through the box and into the chassis

Thanks Michael. I must admit - that was the one thing that was bothering me. I'll keep the OEM recovery hook then, and do the same when I start with mine.

Appreciate the advice.

I upped the boost to 1 bar and it spikes to 1.1 bar, gave it some more fuel to match the boost and modified the aneroid fuel pin a bit to deliver a bit more fuel under full boost.

The results are higher than expected, but we will verify this at the next dyno day.....

181kw and 497Nm

Michael, these are staggering results. Thats V8 petrol territory!

Anthony,

Yes those numbers are high and I am well pleased with them, but I would really like to have it on the dyno again sometime to verify this as they were a bit higher than I was expecting and dyno's can easily make mistakes.

The power is very good tho and it pulls like a train.

Michael

I concur with Anthony's comments. Very excitig numbers.
In fact your Ke is almost exactly double what the NA 4.2 is claims to have (91)

Do you have the chart over revs, perhaps you can post it here?
I would like to see how smooth the torque curve is accross the range of revs.

Also, any idea on consumption?

I alm going to the dyno next week, and will post my results too.
