Re: Patrol Spotting
Not to derail this thread, but I see on the last link that they talk about "new stock location - johannesburg", there is even a 10 seater patrol listed.... Does it mean that these patrols are sitting in johannesburg? And we cannot buy any of them..NMAD wrote:That looks like the gl patrol that you can order from Nissan Japan direct if you don't live in SA.
The rims should be the 16 inch 6jj to take that size tyre and for the car to not have fender flairs it needs to have such a narrow tyre.
I wonder if its loading capacity would be different to a GRX patrol because those narrow tyres would have a lower load rating.
Looks nice though.

Re: Patrol Spotting
Saw two GRX'es on Garsfontein travelling West at about 12h30.
One fairly stock gold one, which was stopped at the robot, and then a relatively kitted out white one (replacement bumper and similar) which I passed at the Menlyn Park robot. I didn't see a sticker, but it was definitely a contender for a forum member's vehicle. I waved when I went past, and I got a wave back... Hello in any case. :)

Re: Patrol Spotting
It could very easily be Oom Mac with "Oom Olifant". IIRC, he got home from his outreach to moz yesterday, and he did travel through Nelspruit. His 'trol has a bunch of stickers on the back windows...SJC wrote:Saw white patrol on schoemanskloof at about 15:00-15:30 today(iirc), coming from nelspruit direction. Re: Patrol Spotting
I saw a really nicely kitted Datsun Safari in my estate on the weekend, didn't manage to get any pics, but its full of stickers for the Put Foot Rally, was parked next to a white diesel GU(??) Patrol at the house.
Anyone on here?
