Rev counter on start up

Post by bruce_k »

Hi everyone

My newly acquired 4.8 does this strange thing first thing in the morning. As I put the key in the ignition and turn the key to one position before start the dash lights come on as usual, but the rev counter does two cycles of zero two 1500rpm. I thought it might be signifying an error code but can't find anything on the net.

Your thoughts?

Will do Tinus. I watched it like a hawk this morning and I see that it's actually going from 0 rpm to exactly 3000 rpm and back to 0 rpm in less than a second. It's trying to tell me something, but I don't talk rpm
