Alex, I will add a little bit to the history of that obstacle:
I was the first guy to try it. I also had several runs at it. On my last attempt, I got far enough up that I was lying so firmly on my belly that I needed Andre's help to get back down.
Christaan saw me, and tried it next, then his dad followed. Michael did it successfully, considerably later. I agree with you though, the trick on this one was clearance and wheelbase. I just didn't have enough for a number of the obstacles.
As for Graham's lower control arm, I have seen this before. If the arm is un-damaged, it is almost impossible to break by driveline loads. But if it has been in contact with a rock, it can easily be bent, and then it tends to just fold the next time it is loaded heavily. Several Australian companies sell uprated versions for this reason.

Hel man kerels, terwyl almal dan nou so "bragg" oor KOSIE SE KLIM! Ou Limmo het my kwaai verbaas toe ek feitlik die hele roete in 2x4 met diff lock kon doen. En daar was n paar growwes wat ou Limmo eintlik maklik gedoen het.
Dis net jammer my beterhelfte wou nie insien dat n man darem Koos se klim ook moet doen om die dag aftesluit nie. Ek reken ou Limmo sou die affere ook darem kon baasraak
Dag ek gooi ook maar net n "braggskoot" in
Dankie aan almal vir weereens n bevange lekker trippie
Sien julle op die River trip hopelik weer met Limmo
