I have noticed quite a difference in size between the Cooper ST Maxx's which is now on my 4.5 and the Dunlop MT2's (on the bakkie) both are 255/85r16.

Anyway, found this website(https://tiresize.com/) that lists the true sizes of the tyres, by manufacturer. (unfortunately not all our brands are listed here).

Very interesting how the sizes differs between different tyre manufacturers/brands:
(Might be handy info to keep in mind when shopping for tyres next time  )

Would love to know the actual diameters, as that's far more important. But this will of course also depend on the size of the rim it's mounted on and the pressure vs. load...
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Just for interest sake (as it seems I'm the only one running this size  ):

255/85r16

Maxxis Bighorn 33.3x10.3(262)
Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 33.07x10(254)
BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 33.3x10(254)
Toyo Open Country M/T 33.5x10.2(259)

Comparing Dunlop MT's to the ST Maxx, I am guessing they are about 33.3 x 250 wide.

For my next set of tyres(when I replace the coopers one day), I want to source a set of Toyo's - I think they are available in SA.
33.5" :surprised:

Glo dit of nie, maar ek het die regte groodte band gekry vir n Patrol met 16" rims
315/75/16....... 34" sal perfek werk in my opinie. Baie se 35" is te groot en ek dink 33" is net te klein

Ja, maar hulle is bietjie te naby aan 35" (Dis net jammer hulle is so breed  )

Maxxis Bighorn 34.6x12.8(325)
Cooper Discoverer STT PRO 34.53x12.6(320)
Cooper Discoverer ST MAXX 34.6x12.4(315)
BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 34.8x12.3(312)
BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 34.5x12.3(312)

Ander grote wat baie naby aan 34" is: 305/70R17 & 285/75R17
BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2:
305/70R17 = 33.8x12.3
285/75R17 = 33.9x11.3

Ha ha Fanus, lyk my ons gaan vir jou n stel 195/16 tyres moet soek dan gaan jy baie happy wees.

305/70/16 is eintlik 32.8" en is te klein
315/75/16 gaan mooi werk
