Goeiedag Manne,

Ekt so paar maande terug julle voorgestel aan my 86 Nissan Safari en is dit vir my `n teursaak, maar het die soutwater sy eis teen haar ingesit en is haar dop heeltemal vlenters geroes. Gelukkig het ek `n GQ Dop in die hande gekry (Baie goedkoop). Eks seker teen die tyd weet julle waarheen ek opad is met die.

Ek wil graag jul kommentaar aanvra of die dop verruiling wel moontlik is, aangesien die GQ se dop net op my onderstel gesit moet word, d.w.s die GQ het gladnie meer sy onderstel nie.

Ek vra voorlopig omverskoning as ek enige een van die GQ of Safari manne onstel met die projek.

Ek het geen idee of dit moontlik is nie, maar die Nissan manuals het diagramme wat die posisies van die body monteerpunte presies dimensioneer. Ek glo dit sal jou 'n goeie idee gee?

Jy kan 'n stel manuals by Kobus (Herrie op Safari) kry.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Hi Ruan, Op my CD is die Partol manuals en die Safari manuals - ook die Safari se Owner manual en die inligting van 'n ou wat 'n 2.8 diesel engin op se Safari gesit het. Een van die ouens by ons werk gaan volgende maand op pensioen en gaan by Mosselbaai bly en miskien kan hy die CD vir jou bring.

Ek glo enige iets is moontlik. Die beste gaan wees om net die ou dop te verwyder en die nuwe dop te laat hang oor die ou onder stel en kyk hoe alles bymekaar kom. Dis maklik genoeg om nuwe monterings punte te bou op die onderstel waar die nuwe bak s'n sit.

Die grootse pyn gaan miskien die stuur wees waar hy deur die firewall moet gaan tot op die stuur boks. Dan verwag maar dinge soos bedrading, brandstof pype en briek pype wat gaan moet na gekyk word. En natuurlik die rat hefbome waar hulle deur die vloer moet kom.

Ek dink jou eerste ding waarna jy moet kyk, is hoe sit die wiele (track en wheel base) teen oor mekaar. Help nie jy moet suspension begin sny om wheel base 200mm langer te maak om die wiele in die arches te maak pas nie.

Ek het paar jaar terug gekyk om Sani bak op Safari onderstel te sit. Wheel base en track is identies, maar onderstel sou 300mm voor deur die bumper stoot want Safari onderstel in net baie langer om die L28 motor te vat.

Ek is angstig om te sien hoe werk die bou vir jou uit. Voorspoed met die projek.
