Thanks all. The day was fantastic.

Apologies for not being able to stay longer, but the kids were mutinying in the back and the wife didn't give me much choice in the matter...

I've got some vids and pics taken by the wife. I've got to sort them out, but will post shortly.

Gawe manier om n naweek te spandeer.

Die groep se ware kleure is sommer al vrydag aand gewys. Toe ons daar stop is daar fout met Alex Botha se alternator.
My tent was nog nie eers uit die sak nie , toe het Graham en Errol die fout gekry en n spaar alternator in en almal glimlag met n bruisdrankie in die hand.
Thinus en Peter het toe al klaar nog n spaar alternator gelaai en saam gebring , net in geval. Dankie manne!

Toe Alex se V8 effens te hoog spring op die twede laaste hindernis en so bietjie ongemaklik gaan sit , het die spanwerk ook die herwinning sonder insident of skade laat eindig.

Oor daai klippie aan die einde van die dag sal die ouens nog lank praat.

Dankie aan Charles van Wegry. Hy is n besonder maklike "travel companion" en almal sal saamstem dat hy enige tyd weer moet saamry. Ek vertrou hy het uitgevind hoekom ons so passievol is oor die Patrols is en behoort pitkos te he vir n sappige storie.

Ja, nee wat, goeie gees.
Net 'n paar fotos vir historiese doeleindes.
In 2012 het twee Forum lede by die klip opgery, Rod en "Grootseun".
Nico het 'n kilowatt of twee te veel aangewend met sy Navara. Lykmy op daai klip is teveel kraag net so gevaarlik soos te min.
My engin het gister baie naby gekom aan doodtrek. In 2014 het ek ook ampertjies teveel krag aangewend. Iets is nie pluis nie. Moet dalk na dyno toe gaan.

Ook in 2012 het Klipdrif bietjie anders daarna uitgesien.
So voor gister se uitstappie bestudeer ek die video hieronder van 'n 80s Cruiser. Ek vermoed dit is ook geneem na die hindernis moeiliker geraak het. Hy was baie verder na links. Seker nie bang dat hy kap nie.

Dit het my duidelik nie veel gehelp nie....

I really don't see it as "ten koste van myself". It also gives others the opportunity to learn. Thanks for the videos.
