Re: Safe to drive with this..?
Fanus,
Ek is n gereelde klient by Autobox en hulle behandel my altyd goed.

As als nog reg werk dan los jy hom.

Re: Safe to drive with this..?
My understanding is that a clutch on the 4.5 wagon is good for a little over 200,000 km. Mine went at 240,000k pretty much. Graham also mentions roughly 200,000.
On Graham's recommendation, I also replaced engine & transmission mountings when I had the clutch replaced. I'd recommend doing this in any case, as the engine and transmission will need to come out a little. Makes a massive difference, although it also makes a massive difference on the cost of the job... :)

Re: Safe to drive with this..?
It all depends on how much peace if mind you want. Im sure I will feel alot better changing the suspension bushes as well when doing a clutch, but like you say Ian.....it can turn out to be an expensive excersise.
If the Patrol still has its original clutch its worth looking at replacing it while the box is out, but I will not change the mountings if they are not broken.....dont see the point
