New set of Tires for my disco 4

Post by IanT »

Looking for some words of wisdom! After two flats one on the way down to KZN and one on the way back (on the tar!!), I have had enough of the standard Goodyear Wrangers HT on my Disco 4 so wanting to put on some AT. I would love some BF's or Coopers but they do not make the correct size 255/55/19 for the Disco 4. This is my daily drive so 90% on road and 10% dirt (that is way I have a patrol with BF's on it!! ) any suggestions what about the General Grabbers???

I drove General Grabbers on LOBO untill the swop with Gerrie -- never any issues with them. Even mountain & rock climbing [Buffalo Gorge / Rust de Windter Bundu trail .. and other trails.
If they make that size, GO 4 IT :woo:

I had Grabbers on my Disco3 (2 sets), good tyres and not bad off road at all, mud, rock and sand - no issues. Used them about the same tar/off road ratio as you. I need to replace my VW Syncro's tyres and would probably replace them with Grabbers.
