I drove past a second hand car dealer in Kempton Park and saw a good looking 3.0 litre diesel for R149 900 but it is a 2001 model. If you want to contact them the name is Rhokem no. 072 794 2436

That is way too high for a 2001. Retail is only about R100k

In the end I took the NP200 to Malawi. It's there now and it AMAZED me!!! I'm in SA for a short bit and might have found the workhorse. If I get anything I will also drive it there. Just waiting to confirm fuel consumption and then go look at it to determine if it will actually do 2400km.

Got it at last. New tyres, shocks, and a lot of body work then I'll be on my way back to Malawi.

Great stuff, thanks. I'll need a bunch to take with and make sure it doesn't drop me on the way.
