Afternoon everyone, a quick question when my engine is back together again would it be worth the trouble having it run on an engine dyno before dropping it back in the trol??

Hmmm.... don't know to be honest. These aren't high performance engines, so I would say no its not necessary to do that, but once in the Patrol and all connected up, let them do a full on dyno to ensure the fuel mix is set up 100% to prevent EGT's climbing out of control when driving up a long steep hill.... ( here is where the EGT gauge is very important )

I have no idea what the cost would be, but AFAIK modern production engines are virtually all run-in on a dyno.

It can be controlled much betterthan on the road.
Mag ons ons kenniskry met lekkerkry aanhoukry.

Peter I've also heard that I spoke to a buddy of mine at UD and he mentioned that if a motor is to be rebuilt they send it to a enginering shop in pretoria they do the engine dyno run in as well. Kodekta or something like that.
