BE VERY CAREFUL WHEN FITTING AFTERMARKET RIMS TO A PATROL !!!!!

Sometimes the rim doesn't sit flush with the face on the brake disc. There is a small radius on the brake disk that prevents this. You need to get the mag machined slightly to sort this out.... NOT DOING THIS CAN CAUSE A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE !!!

thanks Ricster
Funny enough ,i think the Nissan Patrol is the only "lorrie" where the rim ID is a 110mm,well that is like you said,at the brake disc and the Safari is 109mm
I think I must try Tinus's spacers first and see how it sits on the vehicle.... :dogrun:
kind regards

Chuck (Christo's 4.2 diesel ) has 15" rims on.... not sure if he has spacers on or if its just a deep dish rim.... looks brilliant though with big tyres and small rims !!

I have the MQ Patrol front diff on my lorrie, and the only rims that fitted, was the Sani rims, but looked rubbish because I could only fit 31" tires as they were 7J.

The Sani Mags were also 110mm centre hole.

I then got a set of steel 8,5J's with 30mm negative offset, but only have 4 of them and also looking for one or two more to fit as spares.

The 30mm Negative offset gives you the clearance for the brakes.

Guys think you have fallen out of a tree when you ask for 10J's.
Got them in white, but later sprayed them grey.

Yep, the 4.2 diesels have small brake calipers because they're 4x4 vehicles and not race cars. That makes rim and tyre selection so much easier :woo:

My rims have a very silly offset that cause them to stick out a bit, but that only shows off the nice 33" muddies so much better...

I don't get to Pretoria much at all, but I have friends that are frequently in and around Pretoria. I will ask them how far they are from you and try and get you guys together.
