First Mod

Post by Cooper »

I don't consider bigger tyres a proper modification, so my first mod: Snorkel
Thanks Graham for drilling holes in my new car.
Next up, PC bash plates for transmission.

Hi Cooper,

What make is your snorkel. I will be fitting one soon. I want to go with Safari. Nissan OE snorkel is n 1K cheaper. I like the look of yours. It doesn't run along the outside like some i have seen. Not to many troles running around so that I can hace a good look. One must have is a top that can be turned around. The TJM / Airtech once have fixed heads.
Nice looking Trol by the way.

Josh,

Please you are looking at the Safari. They are in my opinion by far superior when it comes to material used and also the type of material the connections are made from. Not only does the snorkel need fit correctly but the connections need to be dust and water tight. This is an area were they are superior to all the other systems.

Hi Josj .. I baught all my snorkels thus far from 4x4 Direct .. and they are in no way inferior to others on th emarket .. except the PRICE .. I paid R2000 for the Prado snorkel and it is a perfect fit.
I baught Agarob with a Safari snorkel .. and it DID leak air and water .. until I had it re -sealed

If ever I buy another vehicle that needs a Snorkel .. I will again buy the one from 4x4 direct. At 2 K you can buy THREE for the price of the "brand names" .. is erger as om n tyotta te koop :rolling:

That is the 4x4 direct one supplied and fitted by graham ....I think it cost 3.5 k fitting incl .....you can fit a complete madman and a snorkel for that price..... : mytwocents:
I have had mine on for 4 years I think standing in the sun 90% of the time branches knocking against it no problems at all .when l put my hand over the opening my engine dies.....what more do you need?
To me its more important that someone competent like graham fits it and make sure its done properly the first time , rather than some franchise place that tells you stories and gets the underpaid overworked staff at the back to slam it together. .....hope it helps you make up your mind
