Re: Diesel vs Sparks
Guys, this rallysprint is usually a lot of fun. Also, being an amateur event, they typically make the trail of such a nature that you cannot reach excessive speeds, for obvious reasons. This plays fairly well into the hands of the Patrol.
I participated in the 2012 Rust de Winter Jamboree, and we came second overall in the "speed section", beaten only (and by about some five secons, a big margin for such a short trail) by a V8 SWB SVM jeep. But it goes to show, events like this can be nicely suited for the Patrols.
I agree with Peter, it will be nice if we can get a variety of vehicles there.
Just a reminder, anybody with some ideas for the trophy plate, please let your creativity loose.

Re: Diesel vs Sparks
Maybe we should ask one of the 4x4 magazines to join. I think it should make for a good read and some awesome photos.

Re: Diesel vs Sparks
Ok Gents,
Looks like it will be 20 September, but I am waiting for WOMZA to finalize arrangements and they have a meeting sometime in the near future where this will happen.
We need to see where we can borrow helmets. Entrance will be a maximum of R225, so keep that in mind. I will see if we can get a sponsorship and will try and negotiate a discount for group entry with WOMZA - so that price tag will hopefully go down.
It looks like a good mix of vehicles!
Cheers

Re: Diesel vs Sparks
I'm watching this thread with interest - hopefully I can join with my 4.8, although leaving for foreign soils on that evening...
