I am ordering my Madman system on Landyonline as we speak.... Andre also needs one so we are getting them for R1220 each for the unit and R321 for the EGT probe. I think it is very cheap!!!

I will then install it and have the exhaust done before dyno day.

Thats an excellent price....the piece of mind it brings will be well worth the money.

Make sure that the probe is mounted somewhere on the manifold, before the turbo, to get the most accurate readings. Also make sure that the probe doesn`t stick in so far as to touch the opposite side of the manifold, as this also effects the accuracy of the reading. Should all be explained in the instructions that come with the kit, but thought it worth mentioning anyhow!

Michael, maybe your car started out with a very conservative tune, and with the upgraded inter-cooler the air density has increased to such an extent that you are now quite badly under-fuelled?

BTW: Most diesel tuners will fit a temporary EGT if your vehicle doesn't have one. They are just as scared of cooking your engine as you are!

Oh yes, here is the turbo that I have. Maybe someone knows it?
Mitsubishi 49178 54700

Found a couple of sites on the net that states it is a TD05 turbo that is well used on the Patrol's

I also had the Mitsubishi TD05 - AFAIK they're standard issue with the Patrol Alpine kits...

So ek is nie gedruk op tyd nie. Iets om na uit te sien.

That would make perfect sense Christo because the conversion was originally done by Alpine

Ok net so vinnige update.

Sal my lesings post na my JHB trip.
