I did the LED globe conversion on my GU a couple of months ago. Better than the previous HID conversion and a different world compared to the standard lights.

Available from 4X4direct for about R 1 200.

Chuck het ook LEDs in - hulle werk beter as enige van die Osram & Phillips goeters wat ek voorheen probeer het.

Christo, With the "defused glass" on our headlights does it splatter the light allover the place or does it still keep the light focused in the correct areas. I flipping hate it when driving on the roads and a car is coming towards me with badly fitted and adjusted HID headlights.   I want to paintball their headlights

Cedric, I bought these: http://www.ebay.com/itm/2-x-160W-16000L ... 2182306337

There are photos of the light pattern & and output at the bottom of the eBay post, but I'll share my own photos so that you don't have to trust the manufacturer's marketing team only.

Here's an under-exposed photo that shows off the beam beam pattern best. Notice how they curve up slightly to the left (to illuminate road signs, etc) and also curve down (to show detail on the side of the road) whilst remaining flat towards the middle & right (so as not to blind oncoming traffic):

.. and here's a normal exposure one that shows the actual light output much better than the first photo. You can see the nice, sharp line cut-off line against the open gate:

There was some aiming work to be done after I fitted them. The old bulbs were so useless that I never realised how badly they were aligned, so I spent a few minutes twiddling those pesky split headlight adjusters to get them sorted nicely...
