tow bar extension
I found this in my shed but I cant find the missing piece. Its a tow bar extender for a bicycle rack I think but I cant find the missing piece that I think has another base plate on it. Has anyone seen one like this and where can I go to try and get the missing piece?

Re: tow bar extension
GOOD DAY , "OVERDRIVE" .
Your tow ball "extension" is not an extension , you have only the removable part of a two piece tow bracket . The rest of the tow bracket remains on the vehicle . Many tow bar manufacturers make one bracket to suit many models , but supply an interchangeable bolt on section to suit various bumper heights or styles .
I hope this has helped you in some way . You could adapt it for a front tow hitch , or adapt it to use as an extra spare wheel bracket .
Cheers for now . Now go four wheeling for the enjoyment of it !

Re: tow bar extension
Thanks Brett. Now I remember several vehicles ago this was fitted into the tow bar thing. So that "thing" part went with the car when it was sold. I am actually trying to make a bicycle carrier. It has to extend out a bit at the back because of the spare wheel mounted there. I wonder if I can get a part to bolt on that the cycle carrier will fit onto?
