Soos Mac, is ek ook 'n pesioenaris....

Ek het vir FNB gewerk, was in beheer van die infrastruktuur van al hulle hoofraam rekenaar kamers (3 van hulle) en hulle streeks kantore se "Server" kamers. Toe was daar 4, maar daar is nou omtrent 8 van hulle, dwars oor die land.

Ek het in 1972 by Standard Bank in Vereeniging begin werk as Bankklerk en het in 2013 afgetree by FNB. Ek het my hele lewe lank vir net daardie daardie 2 banke gewerk, vanaf 1974 af het ek in die hoofraam rekenaar kant van die banke gewerk.

Ek is in Sept 1973 vir 10 maande Weermag toe (Infanterie) en was 'n drywer van ligte voertuie (maks 3 ton). Daar het ek die eerste keer 4x4 bestuur. Jy moes 'n 6 week lange "Bestuurs en Onderhoud" kursus doen en slaag voor jy kon kwalifiseer om 'n 4x4 bestuurs lisensie te doen. Ek het in Ladysmith en 6 keer op die grens, Bedfords, Willis Jeeps, Landrovers, Landrover Forward Conrtols, Jeep Gladiators en Unimogs (en Buffels) bestuur.

Ek het Noord Namibie en die Caprivi plat gery op die Weermag se onkoste, met hulle 4x4s en met hulle petrol. Daar was in daardie jare net so hier en daar 'n diesel Landrover (niks anders in die klein voetuie nie) , en het net een ('n shorty 2.25) bestuur toe ek vanaf Grootfontein gestuur is om op Osivelo 'n lyk te gaan haal. Was nogal 'n Swapo terroris se lyk.... Nee ek het nie geloer nie, die plastiek sak was toegezip en ek het hom so toegezip gelos.

Nou hou ek myself uit die kattekwaad met my Safari besigheid. Ek het in 2005 gekwalifiseer as 'n Nasionale Toergids.

I specialize in Patrol TD42 engines, from diagnosing, building, fixing, tuning and performance upgrades.

No seriously, I make specialized wire for mostly the Fastener manufacturing industry(the make screws and bolts from wire), and also Welding rod Core wire, and some general purpose wire. And sometimes Chrome plating quality wire for manufacturing oven racks/shelves.
