I was lucky enough to be there for the Dyno testing of the bakkie.

I believe I correctly quote the young man doing the test as saying "Julle's mal...!!"

Daai bakkie het baie Krag. 3 times the factory power and torque!

Congratulations Michael. I'm sure the owner will enjoy it.

So just to give some more info on these conversions. First thing you think of when you see a converaion is....... damn, that Patrol must now be heavy on fuel.

Just look at the fuel consumption of Atties Patrol after making all that power. His dad is using the Patrol at the moment and took a pic when the main tank was on 3/4, 1/2 and 1/4

Hi Michael,

Do you have actual consumption figures for the conversion and boost done on Attie’s bakkie now that some time has passed since the initial conversion and dyno etc was done?

Have you done any more with the same setup since Attie’s and have you had any issues running that kind of boost for extended periods?

Hi Gary

Attie's bakkie gives a very constant 8km/L and sometimes a little bit more if you choose the right speed.
It has now been about 60,000km after the conversion and the vehicle did very very well at the dunes trip last year getting the prize for over all best performer.

There is not that much demand for a 12mm conversion as the 11mm pumps on the bakkies perform really well and the performance package I do already doubles the power.

Also on a 12mm pump conversion I cannot give any guarantee regarding engine reliability as the engine produces three times its factory power and torque. Its also VERY costly to do!

Well ther has yet been some more developments on the TD42.
The product has not been tested yet, but I will give some numbers veey soon. The Idea was "borrowed" from many consepts seen on the net and decided to try one and see.

The main purpose of this new manifold design is to have a more even supply of boost pressure at all 6 cylinders which should in return favour the EGT's and maybe a little better fuel consumption.
I dont expect power gains, but maybe it surprises me.
