Re: new Patrol owner - unresponsive & evasive Nissan dealer
Hi guys,
It's comforting to know I'm not the only "sap" who's encountered the few "rotten apple dealership", though I do not wish it on anyone....
The unplanned weekend to the dealership's vicinity ended up a waste of money (partly), as only myself and my family had a great sightseeing opportunity of the Western Cape coastal area, and the "friendly" kreefies ... they were delicious... .... and nothing positive came of the appointment to repair.....
The second "negative domino effect" that this lack of professional responsibility will cause, is a loss of my first 4x4 trip with the Cederberg 4x4 guys, this coming Thursday, to the West Coast (yet again)...
This past weekend cost me the loss of 3x of my other vehicles' keys ( 2x with coded transponders - agents only)....as well. This was my own fault, though it happened after the fact that I received dissapointment after dissapointment from the dealer in question... another R6500 +
Well.... I hope nothing else bad happens... I count 3x, so that should be the end of that ... now off to
Thanks again ALL....
Ps. - Peter, this is the reason why I've had things occupying my attention, and why I haven't gotten back to you yet.... Pls bear with the situation ...

Hope you come right bro.
The one thing about a patrol is that when everything is going like it should you quickly forget the heartache and pain you suffered to get to that point, and you begin to enjoy driving again.

Re: new Patrol owner - unresponsive & evasive Nissan dealer
An Update on my recent Patrol purchase:
During the course of yesterday, I was contacted by the dealer principal of the aforementioned "unresponsive" Nissan dealership - since making enquiries to purchase and the eventual handing over on the "newly" purchased pre-owned Patrol..... February 2013 !! of course, after making my situation heard...& debated on this informative forum ..... & through some Nissan Patrol owners, who have a "NISSAN PATROL-of-a-HEART" ( my gratitude to you ALL).....
Needless to say, I'm still awaiting a follow-up reply from the dealer principal, BUT, AFTER GETTING A COURTIOUS TELEPHONE CALL FROM NISSAN S.A..... in the "wee" hours of this morning (28/3/2013) ..... I think there may be SOME forward progress ..... and "somebody's" going to have to explain their "conduct" and "lack of after-sales service".....??
I'll keep you's posted on any further events / (hopefully) progress ....

Hi Cedric,
I can truly say THANKS to all the Patrol owners who took the fight as-their-own and gave support and advice (and the special individuals - who can't be named - who made certain PHONE CALLS on my behalf) .... and last but not least .... REPORTING THE MATTER TO NISSAN S.A....
