Good/Bad Nissan Service: Your Patrol story

Post by JohnBoyZA »

Not sure if this has been discussed on the Nissan forum, but have you seen this site: http://www.mynissanstory.co.za/
(Thanx Geoff Hill)
Have any of you had bad experiences with Nissan? Would like to hear your responses/stories and please vote on the poll.
:steamingears:
Thank you
John Boy

Ps. One of the reasons I established this forum, is so that we as the Patrol community can change the perceptions about Patrols and hopefully provide constructive criticism to Nissan to improve the service they provide. But let's see how the voting goes.

I thought this was a thread as to how you got your Patrol.

As I've only had my vehicles serviced at ANG in Kilarney Gardens, I'm unable to comment on Nissan service.

Patrol was serviced yesterday at Martin Jonker Motors. (New Nissan dealers at Menlyn)

They took some photos of the bubbles on the dash... so now I am waiting Nissans response. :helpsign: (To replace or not to replace)

Still waiting myself. The Cruiser guys in CT have someone that will go the extra yard, and that's what I'm looking for. Problem though with vehicles still under warranty. I use Schus in CT. Ask them to check anything that's not in the service manual and this throws them.

The problem is, the Patrol is not under guarantee any more, and the extended warranty doesn’t cover this.

I have heard from someone in the Nissan4x4 club that Nissan are going to replace the dashboard of his 2005 Patrol free of charge.

Nissan phoned me back today for some more details on the history of the car.

Will post some pics of the bubbles.

Is parts availability an issue because you have to source and buy them yourself ...
