I have no experience with ceramic coating, but suspect it could cause the same issues. I think David's idea of fitting the heat shield is the best if the manifold is old and you don't want to replace it.
I agree. same effect.
My problem with the deflector is it sends the heat down which is where I have the problem. The pipe to the clutch slave cylinder went due to the heat.
Maybe the solution is to wrap the top of the manifolds and then any other components that may be affected by the heat?

Re: Manifold Wrap
The down pipes [branches] on the Prado is ceremic coated .. BIG BIG Major "B" difference in ander bonnet temps ..
It is die the part from 3-into 1 and 2 into 1 that I need to cover.
That r3000 for the ceramic coating is the best 3 K I have blown on the Prado [BIGGEST waste was the EFS suspension .. ]

Re: Manifold Wrap
Bought 30 m roll of 50mm wide ceramic tape fromThermolag on Friday. Will fit it and coat with aluminium paint in 2 weeks time and let's see the result.

Re: Manifold Wrap
Remember to rap the fiber with normal wire to about 15mm apart it helps to keep it together with the paint .

Re: Manifold Wrap
Please read Peter's post, i have removed my wrap last week due to the same problem.
The wraps work well for under bonnet temp but not for the condition of the branch. The branch was wrapped for about 8 months and has reduced the branch life by at least 50%. With all the rain and water puddle playing the branch has now also cracked.
So has anyone have a extra branch for a 4.8 Y61?

Re: Manifold Wrap
I have spoken to a few people about this wrapping business
It seems if you drive through mud and water the wrap goes vrot quickly.
In fact, apparently in some cases, rally teams gets it replaced almost for every stage of the race.
Not worth it.
I have added a heat deflector plate on the body of my car above the silencers.
This helps with temps on the floor behind the passenger seat.
Otherwise will live with the hot pipes.
