1998 Y61 GU driver seat sponge

Post by Louis Nel »

Hello all, I'm looking for the driver seat sponge. I want to put canvas over all my seats but the driver one is kinda old and worn out of the door side. Got a price from Nissan for a new sponge R4243.99 incl :(

So I thought let me ask if anyone here knows of a patrol that is no longer in use or something, with a good driver seat sponge that I can grab!

Thanks all

Can you not just get the upholsterer to build it up with new foam when the new covers are made?

You see the guy that is gona do the canvas for me said he can make the sponge as well but he always tells his customers to try and get the original one as its the driver seat and someone is always sitting in it. He does not mind making sponges for back and passenger seats cuz its not used a lot. But thanks for the response guys, gona think about it abit.

iNyathi's seat was warn out when I bought him. Had it re-stuffed BUT the twit used sub standard sponge/ foam
My advice is to get really HIGH DENSITY foam [many dealers do have it ] and let your upholsterer use that.
